Medieval mansions in the Valle del Chiampo are nicknamed so that Luigi da Porto in writing the newly discovered History would be inspired by the castles he saw from his home. William Shakespeare resumed the novel to write “Juliet and Romeo”. Every first May, a great party commemorates the legend, featuring characters and 15th-century settings amongst the scaligine bushes.
