In Bassano del Grappa there will be a dinner based on Marostica cherries, a certified specialty of our territory. The dinner will be held at the Terzo Ponte restaurant in Via della Ceramica 7 and the cost of participation is 25 euros per person. The history of cherry is linked to that of the famous chess game that made the city famous in the 1500s. The beautiful Lionora, daughter of the governor, had two suitors: the father invited them to compete in a game of chess to contend for his daughter’s hand . To celebrate the winner several cherry trees were planted and so the city became famous for both reasons. Marostica cherry obtained the IGP brand for the first time in Italy.

In the center of Vicenza the day of tomorrow will be held instead the day of music: 20 stations will be placed in Piazza dei Signori, Corso Fogazzaro, Piazza delle Erbe, and other areas of the historic center. From 16.30 to 24.00 will be held various performances by artists, especially from Vicenza.

Cosa fare domani 21 giugno 2018 a Vicenza e dintorni?
A Bassano del Grappa si terrà una cena tutta a base di ciliegie di Marostica, specialità certificata del nostro territorio. La cena si terrà al locale Terzo Ponte in Via della Ceramica 7 ed il costo di partecipazione è di euro 25 a persona. La storia della ciliegia è legata a quella della famosa partita a scacchi che rese famosa la città nel 1500. La bella Lionora, figlia del governatore, aveva due pretendenti: il padre li invitò a sfidarsi ad una partita a scacchi per contendersi la mano della figlia. Per festeggiare il vincitore vennero piantati svariati alberi di ciliegio e così la città divenne famosa per entrambi i motivi. La ciliegia di Marostica ha ottenuto il marchio IGP per la prima volta in Italia.

In centro a Vicenza nella giornata di domani si terrà invece la giornata della musica: 20 postazioni saranno disposte in Piazza dei Signori, Corso Fogazzaro, Piazza delle Erbe, ed in altre zone del centro storico. Dalle 16.30 alle 24.00 avranno luogo varie esibizioni di artisti soprattutto vicentini.
