Magdalena Kožená concert in Vicenza at the Olympic Theatre

Magdalena Kožená concert in Vicenza at the Olympic Theatre

The Czech mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kožená performed in Vicenza at the Olympic Theatre the last week and she chose our Relais Santa Corona for her stay.

The concert had an exclusively Baroque repertoire and Magdalena was accompanied by the Venice Baroque Orchestra directed by master Andrea Marcon. The concert was entirely devoted to Friedrich Händel, a German composer of the 17th century. Magdalena was born in Moravia in 1973 and initially she turns his passion to the piano but breaking the hand at a young age approaches the song. She studied singing and piano at the Conservatory of Brno and graduated at the College of Scenic Arts in Bratislava. The first incisions are Bach areas that allow them to be noted and written by the Deutsche Grammophon German record company. Kožená appears regularly at Prague Spring and Concentus Moraviae Festival, as well as performing throughout Europe.
