BISAZZA FOUNDATION: FREE GUIDED TOURS every Friday in July at 4.00 pm

If the quintessential Victorian heroine conceived by Lewis Carroll, Alice, fell down a 21st-century white rabbit’s hole, she would undoubtedly find herself at ease at the Bisazza Foundation in Vicenza. Neither the Queen of Hearts nor the Mad Hatter live here, but a monumental multicolored armchair more than three meters high, a sparkling silver-colored candelabra, weighing about 850 kilos, covered with thousands of mosaic tiles, and a marvelous , extravagant mosaic-coated car in perfect working order. At the end of the walk, he could also fall asleep inside the RockChamber, the site-specific installation by Arik Levy whose black, shiny and angular shapes are reminiscent of a sparkling meteorite. A car is required to reach the foundation from our Relais Santa Corona. Relais Santa Corona, much better than a hotel!
