Il Teatro Astra organizza spettacoli teatrali in scena nel medioevale Rione delle Barche, uno dei quartieri più antichi della città di Vicenza, approdo delle navi provenienti dalla vicina Venezia. Si trova qui infatti la confluenza dei due fiumi cittadini, il Bacchiglione ed il Retrone. Il territorio di Vicenza è ricco di fiumi che scendono dalle valle o sgorgano dalla risorgive della Pianura Padana. Il nucleo originario della città sorgeva tra il fiume Astico ed il fiume Retrone e gran parte del territorio era non coltivato e paludoso. Furono i monaci Benedettini nel Medioevo a bonificare gradualmente il territorio. Durante la dominazione della serenissime le vie fluviali erano le più usate per il trasporto delle merci, in quanto più veloci e meno rischiose. Venezia quindi bonificò altre zone del circondario e obbligò i comuni ad una regolare pulizia dei corsi d’acqua.

Gli spettacoli in calendario saranno 4 a partire dal 27 luglio alle ore 21.15 con “Bello Mondo” di Mariangela Gualtieri; seguiranno “Dialoghi degli Dei” il 28 luglio a cura dei Sacchi di Sabbia di Massimiliano Civica, “Sempre domenica” sabato 29 luglio a cura di Collettivo Controcanto, per finire con il “Circo di Legno” il 30 giugno di Karromato.

The Astra Theater organizes theatrical performances on stage in the medieval Rione dei Barche, one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city of Vicenza, landing ships from nearby Venice. It is here the confluence of the two city rivers, Bacchiglione and Retrone. The territory of Vicenza is full of rivers that descend from the valleys or emerge from the risorgues of the Po Valley. The original nucleus of the city stood between the Astic River and the River Retrone, and much of the territory was unpolluted and marshy. Benedictine monks were in the Middle Ages to gradually regenerate the territory. During the dominance of the serene, riverways were the most used for freight transport, being faster and less risky. Venice then reclaimed other areas of the district and obliged the municipalities to regularly clean the watercourses.

The scheduled shows will be 4 from 27 July at 21.15 with “Beautiful World” by Mariangela Gualtieri; Will follow “Dialoghi dei Dei” on July 28 by the Massimiliano Civic Sandbags, “Always Sunday” on Saturday, July 29 by Collective Controcanto, to finish with the “Wood Circus” on June 30th of Karromato.

La Traviata di Giuseppe Verdi sarà presentata al Castello di Romeo a Montecchio Maggiore.

L’evento si terrà il 22/07/17 a partire dalle ore 21.15. Protagonisti dello spettacolo saranno l’Accademia del Concerto diretta da Maurizio Filipponi ed il coro Opera Ensemble; l’appuntamento fa parte di una serie di iniziative volte a celebrare il multiforme ingegno della donna all’interno della rassegna “i mille volti di Giulietta 2017”. Manieri medioevali nella Valle del Chiampo, sono soprannominati così perché Luigi da Porto nello scrivere l’Historia novellamente ritrovata si sarebbe ispirato ai castelli che scorgeva dalla sua abitazione. William Shakespeare riprese la novella per scrivere “Giulietta e Romeo”. Ogni primo maggio una grande festa commemora la leggenda, con personaggi ed ambientazioni quattrocentesche tra le rocche scaligere. Le casate di Montecchi e Capuleti si sfidano per vincere il palio, che sarà custodito dalla squadra vincente fino all’anno successivo.

The event “Notturni Palladiani” will return and will perform of the Winds of the Olympic Theater Orchestra on Thursday 20 July 2017 at 9 pm. The direction is entrusted to the master Davide Sanson, it will be performed songs by Mozart, Beethoven, Donizetti, Rossini and Strauss. The location will be the courtyard of the Palladium Museum at Palazzo Barbaran da Porto, realized by Andrea Palladio in Vicenza between 1570 and 1575 : this is the only example of a project he finished in full. Returns the annual event with Open Nights, concerts and appointments organized by the Quartet Society under the stars in the courtyard of Palazzo Leoni Montanari and the Olympic Theater.

There will be 9 concerts in total and various music genres will be featured, from jazz to Italian swing, flamenco and Italian songwriting. The performances of Palazzo Leoni Montanari will be preceded by an aperitif starting at 20:45, and the concerts will begin half an hour later. The cost is 5 euros for an aperitif and the entrance to the concert, 10 euros for tasting, drinks and concert. Entry is allowed until seats are exhausted.

“Le ambre della principessa” a Palazzo Leoni Montanari a Vicenza

“Le ambre della principessa” è il nome scelto per la mostra temporanea in essere a Palazzo Leoni Montanari a Vicenza fino a gennaio 2018.

Il percorso espositivo è stato studiato per valorizzare i reperti dell’antica Puglia rinvenuti nel 1800, quando si sviluppo nella nobiltà l’interesse per i manufatti di epoca greca e romana. I reperti che oggi sono visibili alle Gallerie di Palazzo Leoni Montanari appartengono alla Collezione Caputi, costituita da ceramiche attiche e magnogreche ritrovate a Ruvo di Puglia in provincia di Bari.

I visitatori potranno inoltre guardare le videoproiezioni che raccontano il cantiere della Ruvo archeologica dove fa attiva anche la grande appassionata di arte e storia Carolina Bonaparte Murat, regina al tempo di Napoli ( https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carolina_Bonaparte )

Un percorso olfattivo guiderà i visitatori attraverso le sale rievocando ambientazioni e sensazioni.

Il museo è aperto al pubblico tutti i giorni tranne il lunedì dalle 9.00 alle 18.00 ed è collocato a fianco del nostro Relais Santa Corona.

“Princess Amber” is the name chosen for the temporary exhibition in Palazzo Leoni Montanari in Vicenza until January 2018.

The exhibition trail was designed to enhance the finds of ancient Puglia discovered in 1800, when nobility arises in the interest of Greek and Roman artifacts. The findings that are now visible to the Galleries of Palazzo Leoni Montanari belong to the Caputi Collection, made up of penthouse and magnifique ceramics found in Ruvo di Puglia in the province of Bari.

Visitors will also be able to watch the video projections telling the archeological site of Ruvo, where also the great art and history enthusiast Carolina Bonaparte Murat, Queen of Naples (https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carolina_Bonaparte)

An olfactory route will guide visitors across the halls, reminiscent of ambience and sensations.

The museum is open to the public every day except Monday from 9am to 6pm and is placed next to our Relais Santa Corona.

Illustri Festival, Palazzo Leoni Montanari

dal 27 maggio al 20 agosto 2017 nella Gallerie di Palazzo Leoni Montanari saranno esposti oltre 500 illustrazioni realizzate da un centinaio di artisti.

L’artista israeliano Noma Bar è il protagonista di “illustrissimo”; famoso in tutto il mondo per le sue immagini ironiche e provocatorie, ha realizzato innumerevoli copertine per pubblicazioni come the Economist, BBC, Random House, the Observer. La mostra alle Gallerie d’Italia sarà l’occasione per l’artista di mostrare anche la monografia in 5 volumi che raccoglie i suoi migliori lavori.

Noma Bar ha scelto il nostro Relais Santa Corona durante la sua permanenza a Vicenza.

Illustri Festival ha sede in altre location in centro a Vicenza: la Basilica Palladiana con “Illustri”, Palazzo Chiericati con 30X30.

From May 27 to August 20, 2017, in the Galleries of Palazzo Leoni Montanari, over 500 illustrations by a hundred artists will be exhibited.

Israeli artist Noma Bar is the protagonist of “illustrious”; World-renowned for his ironic and provocative images, he has produced countless covers for publications such as The Economist, BBC, Random House, the Observer. The exhibition at the Gallerie d’Italia will be an opportunity for the artist to show the 5-volume monograph that collects his best works.

Noma Bar chose our Relais Santa Corona during his stay in Vicenza.

Illustri Festival is home to other locations in the center of Vicenza: the Palladian Basilica with “Illustri”, Palazzo Chiericati with 30X30.

 

VICENZA LIGHT 2016 CHRISTMAS IN VICENZA

Vicenza Light 2016 has provided the lighting of the Christmas lights and Christmas tree on Saturday November 26 in the presence of the mayor Variati Achille.

Many are the events scheduled for Christmas, such as exhibitions, concerts and themed markets.

The energy-efficient lights have been installed in the streets of the old town and especially in the Piazza dei Signori, the heart of the city where as usual a cascade of light descends from Bissara Tower. The lights have also been installed in front of our Relais Santa Corona in Contra Santa Corona as well as in major city squares: Blade Square, Piazza Castello and Piazza Matteotti. In the latter, and in Piazza dei Signori we were set up two large artificial trees octagonal aged 12 and 14 meters, in the city street lights installed circular and star. Special openings of the Palladian Basilica are scheduled from Thursday 8 to Sunday, December 11 from 10.00 to 13.00 and from 15.00 to 20.00, as well as in the days 17-18-23-24 and from 6 to 8 January 2017.

Go.go.go by the Russian director Sokurov at the Teatro Olimpico until October 2, 2016.

Podorvika Sokurov was born in 1951, graduated in 1971 at the University of Gorky in History and Philosophy and later at the Moscow Film School VGIK. During this period he became a friend of Andrei Tarkovsky, the famous Soviet film director and screenwriter, who defends against the authorities who think its too revolutionary work and not in line with the regime.

The director tries his hand for the first time with a play loosely based on Marbles of another great Russian artist, Joseph Brodsky, winner playwright Nobel Prize for Literature in 1987, one of the greatest Russian poets of our time.

Friday, August 5, 2016 in Vicenza will be held in the baroque Palazzo Leoni Montanari , the Openights concert, arts-music-drinks under the stars from 8.45pm.

The theme of the evening will be the art of courtship and love in the time of Peter Longhi.

Pietro Longhi was a 1700 Venetian painter who investigated the society of the time and portrayed as part of stage scenery. His work should be understood taking into account the fact of the Goldoni comedy, his contemporary, that creates a new way of understanding art, more related to real life and the society frequented by artists.

Leoni Montanari Palace is the only baroque example in the city center and houses an important permanent collection of Russian Icons and Venetian painting of 1700. At the moment you can visit the exhibition “Dionisio. Myth, ritual and theater”, with Attic and Magna Grecian vases.

At 20.45 hours will begin in the cocktail buffet, at 21.15 the concert “Songs and love stories during the Serenissima”.
